HLF Awards $15,000 Community Grant to HOT

The Healthy Lakewood Foundation (HLF) has awarded a $15,000 Community Grant to Haus of Transcendent (HOT), marking the second grant HLF has given to HOT. This funding will support HOT’s initiatives in Lakewood, focusing on advancing health equity and preventing homelessness by offering Emergency Help and connecting LGBTQI2S+ individuals to crucial health and human services.

Haus of Transcendent, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, links LGBTQI2S+ individuals to essential resources such as housing, healthcare, transportation, and more. With the HLF grant, HOT will enhance its outreach efforts to ensure transgender people, racial and ethnic minorities, individuals with limited English proficiency, and people with disabilities in Lakewood have improved access to services and opportunities.

“Our continued support of Haus of Transcendent reflects HLF’s ongoing commitment to advancing health equity in Lakewood. This grant aims to help HOT connect more LGBTQI2S+ individuals, particularly those from marginalized communities, with crucial health and human services. By improving access to these resources, we hope to contribute to homelessness prevention efforts and support the well-being of LGBTQI2S+ individuals in our city, especially those facing additional barriers to care.”

Kate Ingersoll, Executive Director – Healthy Lakewood Foundation.

HOT extends its heartfelt thanks to HLF for their generous support and dedication to making a positive impact in Lakewood.
