HAUS OF TRANSCENDENT (“HOT”)
HOT is dedicated to mitigating the social drivers of health that lead to homelessness among LGBTQI2S+ people and allies, with a mission of creating an accessible, vibrant, and healthy community for ALL. With a staff and Board comprised multilingual and multicultural LGBTQI2S+ leaders, we pride ourselves in having both the professional expertise and the lived experience necessary to serve our diverse community.
BACKGROUND
HOT Hausing is Cleveland’s first low-barrier, inclusive, and accessible housing solution for LGBTQI2S+ people and allies, located on Cleveland’s Eastside. It will be comprised of both temporary and permanent housing buildings, with wraparound support services provided from our on site Resource Hub, a newly-acquired 8,000 sq. ft. building located directly across the street from our housing facilities. As a Better Health Pathways HUB Care Coordination agency, our community health workers and legal team specialize in connecting folks to critical resources: healthcare, legal help, food, transportation, employment, and more. This holistic approach is designed to provide long-term stability.
CATALYST FOR HEALTH EQUITY
HOT provides wraparound services focused on the social drivers of health, to reduce harm and promote stability:
- Case Management: navigating and improving client access to quality healthcare, legal, and social services
- Emergency Help: Providing short-term financial help to quickly stabilize clients in urgent situations
- HOT Hausing: Advancing housing stability by improving housing access, a key social driver of health.

- Language Access/Assistance: Embedding accessibility and language access into all of our content and programs.
2024
impact
HOT has experienced unprecedented growth across every aspect of our organization. In 2024, we connected with more than 500 LGBTQ+ individuals in Greater Cleveland, providing vital support and meeting a wide range of needs. Additionally, with the hiring of an Attorney, Community Health Worker, and Development Director with real estate expertise, we greatly expanded our capacity to serve the over 850 individuals currently signed up for assistance.
Through the efforts of our experienced team, 85+ volunteers, and supporters, HOT has now raised $830,000 toward our $4,175,353 goal to construct permanent and temporary housing buildings, and outfit our 8000 sq. ft. Resource Hub to provide food, healthcare, job opportunities, and office space for our nonprofit partners. These milestones represent more than just numbers—they reflect our deepening impact and commitment to empowering our local community with critical resources, compassionate support, inclusive education, and meaningful connections.
