Are you wondering what you can do when it feels like the government does not have your best interests? If you are a U.S. Citizen, you can VOTE! If you feel that your elected officials do not represent you and you are eligible to VOTE, you can VOTE them out! Make your voice heard through your VOTE. In Ohio, you have to be registered to vote by certain dates before the elections.
Step 1 – Check your voter registration هنا.
If your current name and address are correct, then you’re all set to vote. Just remember to bring a photo ID. Valid forms of ID are listed هنا.
Step 2 – If you’re not registered to vote yet, or you moved, or you changed your name, you need to update your voter registration. Ohio offers online voter registration هنا. You can also register to vote using a paper form and drop it off at your local county board of elections. If you’re a survivor of domestic violence, stalking, human trafficking, rape, or sexual battery, you are eligible for an address confidentiality program called Safe at Home, which assigns a substitute address so that your voter registration, including address will not be accessible to the public. Step 3 – Be aware of upcoming Ohio voter registration deadlines and Mark your Calendars to VOTE!
You must register or update your voter registration no later than 30 days prior to an election. Upcoming voter registration deadlines:
April 6, 2026 for the May 5, 2026 Primary and Special Election
July 6, 2026 for the August 4, 2026 Special Election
October 5, 2026 for the November 3, 2026 General Election
If you register or update your information after the deadline, the change will apply for the next election.
